For: Austin and Som, a one-hour session after the call with Bobby on 2 October, so we all leave with the same picture: where search stands, the tools, who does what, and what gets built when.
Everything is on this page. The Search Console and Google screens are screenshots taken on 2 October. The Ahrefs numbers are charted from Ahrefs' data. The "See it" links open the live version if we want it, but we shouldn't need them.
The hour:
| Minutes | Part |
|---|---|
| 0 to 3 | The short version |
| 3 to 7 | Where we started (recap of 21 and 23 September), and what has changed since |
| 7 to 17 | What we found today |
| 17 to 22 | The keywords we're going after |
| 22 to 26 | The competition in search |
| 26 to 30 | The tools we use |
| 30 to 38 | Who does what, how work moves, and the full plan with dates |
| 38 to 46 | What goes to Kamil, line by line |
| 46 to 54 | Your decisions |
| 54 to 60 | What comes to you next, and the targets |
If we want to go live (optional): Search Console · Ahrefs, Hypertune overview · Ahrefs, site audit.
Where the numbers come from:
1. a homepage rewrite for "pc optimization for gaming";
2. a how-it-works and pricing page;
3. game pages;
4. comparisons with Hone, Razer Cortex and Intel XTU;
5. a benchmark method;
6. a comparison hub.
See it: the 23 September competitor report · Hone's comparison page against ExitLag · Hone's "Is Hone a virus?" page
That first wave is still the plan. Today's audit puts it in order by real search demand, and adds the facts, links and technical fixes underneath it.

1. Search already brings more new paying customers than anything else. In September, 637 new paying customers first arrived from a search engine: Google 69%, Bing 22%, Brave 8%. YouTube brought 373 and direct visits 194. 630 of the 637 landed on the homepage.
2. Almost all of it is brand search. Of 13,338 search clicks in five weeks, 229 came from searches without our name in them. "hypertune" on its own is 9,023 of them.
Why Search Console's own filters show more: filtering out "hypertune" leaves 1,170 clicks, because "hyper tune", misspellings and CompReady stay in. Google's "Non-branded" filter shows 1,530, because it counts "hypr tune" as non-branded. Our figure of 229 removes all of those.
3. The nearest wins are searches where Google already shows us at positions 7 to 9. All of them are easy by Ahrefs' measure (difficulty under 10 out of 100).

|---|---|---|---|

5. "Trusted by Riot, EAC, BattlEye, Valve" reads as an endorsement. Unless those companies have agreed in writing, AI engines repeat it as fact. Google Ads' policy also covers implied endorsements on landing pages. The same claim is in the /tutorial search description.

One Linear ticket, ready to paste: From Austin to Kamil: SEO website changes. The table below is the same list in short.
| # | Change | Why | By |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Load the homepage's main image first (remove lazy loading on that one image) | The main reason the homepage is slow on phones: 2.8 s for real visitors and 6.4 s in the lab, against Google's 2.5 s | Fri 9 Oct |
| 2 | One H1 heading per page | /expert-tuning has eight and /technology six; Google reads the H1 as the page's main topic | Fri 9 Oct |
| 3 | Move the hidden FAQ markup from the homepage to /technology | The homepage FAQ is gone but its markup isn't; Google requires them to match | Fri 9 Oct |
| 4 | Four Cloudflare settings: email links, Bing change alerts, http://www redirect, AI crawlers | The email setting creates a broken page on 8 pages; the www address errors for Google's and Ahrefs' crawlers | Fri 9 Oct |
| 5 | Publish new titles, descriptions and headings (from Som, Wed 7 Oct) | Moves the position 7 to 9 searches toward the top 5; removes "Trusted by" from search results | Fri 9 Oct |
| 6 | Add the schema code (from Bobby, Wed 7 Oct): who we are, and the price | Stops search and AI engines mixing us up with hypertune.com | Fri 9 Oct |
| 7 | Fix one broken image; complete the link preview tags | Small; shows a full preview when links are shared on Discord and X | Fri 9 Oct |
| 8 | Redirect /what-hypertune-changes and /uninstall (and the guides, if they go) to /technology; clean the sitemap | Google still lists pages nothing links to | Mon 12 Oct |
| 9 | Permanent redirects for /game/valorant, /game/fortnite and /game/rust | Valorant is on a temporary redirect; Fortnite and Rust show "page not found" | Mon 12 Oct |
| 10 | Keep the logging host and affiliate addresses out of Google | Internal addresses show in search results | Mon 12 Oct |
What Ahrefs' site audit found, and where each item is handled. Crawled 2 October: 203 addresses, health score 94 out of 100.

Then, as pages arrive:
Kevin: nothing new. Please confirm phase 1 of the SEO reporting page is live Fri 9 Oct, ready for the first report on Fri 16 Oct.
You, Mon 5 Oct: Som prepares Bing Webmaster Tools; you complete the verification and add Bobby. Bing and Brave bring almost a third of our paying customers from search.
| # | Decision | Our recommendation | Needed by |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | The "Trusted by" lines: proof in writing, or what replaces them? | Replace them with what's true and checkable, for example that Hypertune doesn't touch game files or inject code. The wording is yours | Wed 7 Oct |
| 2 | Who fixes the help centre, and by when? (asked 1 Oct) | Set it to noindex now so Google drops the old prices, then fix it | Fri 9 Oct |
| 3 | Do the five BIOS guides stay or go? | Redirect them to /technology. They had 4 clicks in five weeks; the useful steps go into the how-to guide | Tue 6 Oct |
| 4 | Date and order for the game pages | In order of demand: CS2, Arc Raiders, Fortnite, Battlefield 6, Marvel Rivals, Valorant. The first draft is ready Mon 12 Oct; the Google Ads landing pages depend on them | Tue 6 Oct |
| 5 | Which FPS claim we stand behind | Keep "up to 60%" only alongside the typical range, with the test method published | Before the benchmark page |
| 6 | Should portal.hypertune.gg and affiliate.hypertune.gg appear in Google? | Keep both out, unless you want creators to find the affiliate sign-up through Google | Mon 12 Oct |
| 7 | A Microsoft Store listing? | Yes. Microsoft Store, App Store and Google Play listings take positions 5 to 7 for "fps booster" | October |
| 8 | Who approves outreach emails, and from which mailbox? | One Hypertune mailbox; Vin approves, you see anything that makes a claim | Before November |
| 9 | How many hours a week Kamil and Kevin have for SEO (asked 1 Oct) | Needed so the dates hold | Mon 5 Oct |
Som writes everything, Bobby checks it for SEO, and Hoa and Vin check it by hand. Only then does it reach you for sign-off, and you submit it in Linear for Kamil.
| When | What you get | What you do |
